What is QR Code?
Turkish: QR Kod
A QR code is a camera-readable two-dimensional barcode that quickly carries URLs, product data, payment links, or form destinations.
What is a QR Code?
A QR code (Quick Response) is a two-dimensional barcode made of black-and-white modules that cameras can read quickly. A traditional barcode stores line information in one direction, while a QR code stores data across both horizontal and vertical space, making it suitable for URLs, text, Wi-Fi details, or payment links.
The corner markers help the camera understand orientation and scale. Error correction allows the code to remain readable even when part of it is dirty or covered by a logo, but that tolerance is not unlimited.
Types
- Static QR code: The content is embedded in the code and does not change after printing.
- Dynamic QR code: The code points to a fixed redirect URL, while the destination can be changed from a panel.
- Action QR code: Starts a specific flow such as payment, menu viewing, check-in, a form, or a campaign.
Business Use
QR codes are used for restaurant menus, product tracking labels, warranty registration, campaign pages, quick payment, event entry, and field service forms. The most important design issue is the mobile destination: if the code opens a slow, unreadable, or untrusted page, its practical value disappears.
Barcode remains common in inventory and checkout operations; QR codes stand out when more data and mobile interaction are needed.
