What is E-Archive?
E-Archive is a Turkish e-document application for creating, delivering, and storing invoices electronically in line with GİB rules. It is commonly used when the recipient is not an e-Fatura user or when the sale is made to an end consumer.
How Is It Different from E-Fatura?
E-Fatura is used when the invoice exchange happens between parties in the GİB e-Fatura system. E-Archive covers invoice scenarios outside that scope. In both cases, invoice data follows defined formats and rules; the scope, delivery path, and workflow differ.
How Does the Process Work?
Sales data is created in an ERP, accounting platform, or e-commerce system. Through an authorized integrator or direct GİB integration, the invoice data is prepared, signed, numbered, and delivered electronically to the recipient. A PDF view can be shared with the customer, but the legally important part is the compliant electronic record.
Business Use
E-Archive is used in online sales, service invoicing, dealer networks, and retail operations. It reduces manual invoice handling, but it depends on accurate product/service cards, tax rates, customer data, and cancellation-return workflows.
When e-Fatura and ERP integration are designed together, the business can trace the invoice from order to accounting record. Because Turkish GİB rules can change, production systems should be reviewed with the integrator and financial advisor.
