What is e-Waybill (e-Irsaliye)?
Turkish: e-İrsaliye
e-Waybill, or e-Irsaliye, is the Turkish electronic dispatch note issued, transmitted, stored, and presented under GİB e-document rules.
What is e-Waybill (e-Irsaliye)?
e-Waybill (e-İrsaliye) is the electronic version of the Turkish dispatch note used when goods are shipped. It serves the same commercial purpose as the paper document, but its format, signing, transmission, storage, and presentation follow GİB e-document rules.
How It Works
The sender’s system creates an e-Waybill record containing product, quantity, shipping address, carrier, vehicle, and recipient information. The document is signed with a financial seal or electronic signature, then transmitted to the recipient through GİB or a private integrator. The recipient may respond with acceptance, rejection, or partial acceptance; the operations system should match these responses with inventory and shipment records.
Business Use
e-Waybill is important in warehouse, production, distribution, and wholesale operations. When a shipment record is created inside an ERP or OMS, the e-Waybill should be issued at the right point in the fulfillment flow. While the goods are physically moving, the electronic record provides the legal and operational trace of that movement.
e-Invoice, e-Archive, and GİB integration are usually handled together in e-Waybill projects. Error handling, document numbering, scenario type, and cancellation rules are critical integration details.
